Officers are investigating a shooting in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is recovering in the hospital with several gunshot wounds.

The shooting happened on Divisadero and Blackstone on Monday night. Police say a young man was confronted by the suspect and harsh words were exchanged. The attacker then pulled a gun, striking the victim at least three times in the arms and legs.

Authorities say he is recovering at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
