11-year-old girl hit by car in Fresno recovering from severe brain trauma and other injuries
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- According to the Fresno Police Chaplaincy page 11-year-old Jadyn Benevidez has been miraculously recovering from severe brain trauma and multiple injuries throughout her body. However, her medical team is recommending she be transferred to Shriners Hospital for continued treatment.
While treatment is covered by the hospital her family does not own a car and cannot afford relocation expenses. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help.
Benevidez was hit by a car on November 3rd in Southeast Fresno. Fresno police said she and her father were walking near Tulare Avenue and 7th Street when Benevidez ran into traffic. The driver was unable to stop.
