"The Nutcracker" comes to Saroyan Theatre in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dozens of young dancers are experiencing the beauty of ballet firsthand this weekend.

Action News anchor Veronica Miracle got to emcee and perform in Ron Cunningham's "The Nutcracker." Students from Kings River Joint Charter and Malloch Elementary Schools danced alongside the nationally acclaimed Sacramento Ballet.

The opportunity for the young dancers is made possible by the Valley Performing Arts Council. The final performance is Sunday at 1 p.m. at the William Saroyan Theatre.
