FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dozens of children are now safe after power lines fell on top of their school bus near in Fresno County.

High winds knocked over at least five power poles and some of those power lines fell on top of the school bus.

We are told PG&E crews quickly de-energized those lines.

After about an hour or so after this initial call came in that's when the school bus safely leave the area. Kids were seen waving as they were driving past and evacuating the scene.

Now PG&E are working to repair these lines and working to re-energize them once they are back up safely, so they can bring power back to residence in this area that have lost their power.
