1 person killed in stabbing in Winton

WINTON, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Merced County Sheriff's Department is investigating a deadly stabbing in Winton in the area of California and Walnut Avenue.

The call first came in as an assault victim at the Chablis Apartment complex. When investigators arrived they found the person was already dead.

The suspect is still on the loose.

Authorities said the incident began as some kind of domestic dispute, but they have not yet revealed any other details.
