House boats relocated from Merced County reservoir as precaution

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dozens of house boats were relocated on Lake McClure in Merced County as a precaution.

There's no danger to anyone on the lake, but it gives the Merced Irrigation District space should the reservoir reach maximum capacity.

Lake McClure is currently at 95 percent capacity, but officials believe the level will fall in the next few days.

Controlled releases of water are flowing through the gateways and the district is monitoring the influx of water.
