Man arrested after attempting to hit an officer with his car, Fresno police say
Fresno Police say a man attempted to hit a motorcycle officer that was trying to pull him over. The officer was able to avoid the vehicle.

FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- Fresno Police say a man attempted to hit a motorcycle officer who was trying to pull him over. The officer was able to avoid the vehicle.

After a chase through the Tower District, then up Maroa Avenue, police used a pit maneuver and arrested the suspect on Saginaw near Maroa in Central Fresno. Police say the suspect, 34-year-old Alfredo Bueno, had a stolen semi-automatic hand gun in the car with him.

Police say Bueno, who just released from prison a week ago from doing time for possession of drugs will armed with a firearm, was charged with the following crimes: Assault on a Peace Officer, Felony Evading a Peace Officer, Felony Resisting Arrest, Driving While Under the Influence of Methamphetamine, Possession of Stolen Property, Felon in Possession of a Loaded and Concealed Firearm, Parole Violation, Felon Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance While Armed With a Loaded Handgun, Parole Violation and Auto Theft since the Subaru was an unreported stolen car from the lot of Lithia Subaru of Fresno.

Bueno was arrested on March 19, 2015 for several charges -- including being in possession of a stolen Ford Focus that was also taken from Lithia.
