Thousands gather for Sikh cultural celebrations in Selma

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Central Valley Sikh community came together Sunday in honor of Vaisakhi celebrations.

Everyone was invited to take part in the Selma Parade as a way to learn more about the Sikh Culture.

More than 9,000 people from around the state were on hand to celebrate enjoying traditional food and music.

Through these parades, American Sikhs wish to promote greater understanding of their identity and beliefs.
