Authorities investigating a homicide in Kings County

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- A homicide investigation is underway in Kings County where deputies say it appears a fight led up to the murder. It happened near Home and Second Place south of Hanford.

Investigators have no information on what may have caused the death but they said they were responding to a weapons offense. They also believe it started with an argument at a nearby store called Stop and Shop.

The victim was transported to the hospital where they died.
