2 clerks handcuffed in Northeast Fresno liquor store robbery
Two clerks at the MGA Liquor store were robbed at gunpoint, then handcuffed and locked in the bathroom while two-robbers ransacked the store.

FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- Two clerks at the MGA Liquor store were robbed at gunpoint, then handcuffed and locked in the bathroom while two-robbers ransacked the store.

It happened at closing time around 12:30 a.m. on Friday. The two suspects wore masks and hoodies one had a gun. They took the two male clerks into the bathroom and handcuffed them to the plumbing. The two clerks were discovered later Friday morning when another clerk came to work.

The manager said they were shaken up but not hurt. He says the thieves took a lot of stuff mostly cigarettes.

"They took all the expensive stuff from the shelves. They broke into the storage department. They took all the cigarette cartons and all the cash from the registers and safe," said Vanshveep Sidhu, store manager.

He noted the cigarettes are a popular target for thieves since they can be easily sold on the street.

The store does have surveillance video. It has been turned over to the police.

This is the second time the store has been robbed in the past year store manager says they are looking for ways to increase security.

Police are still looking for the suspects.
