FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people are dead after they were ejected from their car during a crash in Squaw Valley on Saturday, the California Highway Patrol said.

The CHP said that a 2000 Toyota Tundra was traveling westbound on Highway 180 near Ruth Hill Road when the truck veered off the highway.

The driver tried to get back on the road but overcorrected and wound up crashing down a slope - rolling over several times and ejecting the two people inside.

The two were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities don't suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
