20 pounds of opium recovered from Southwest Fresno home
A 73-year-old woman and a stash of potpourri are both a part of a drug bust by Fresno Police.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 73-year-old woman and a stash of potpourri are both a part of a drug bust by Fresno Police that, investigators said, is worth more than a quarter of a million dollars.

Investigators found about 20 pounds of opium at the elderly woman's home near California and West Avenue in Southwest Fresno. The said the drugs had been shipped from Thailand and hidden in potpourri.

Police said the opium could be worth as much as $300,000 on the streets.

An anonymous tip helped lead investigators to the haul. The 73-year-old woman could face up to 10 years in prison.
