Fresno County Sheriff's Office arrest man on murder charges for body found in vineyard

Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office have arrested 27-year-old Brian Smith of Orange Cove. (KFSN)

Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office have arrested 27-year-old Brian Smith of Orange Cove. He has been booked into the Fresno County jail on a murder charge.

Investigators said Smith killed 21-year-old Steven Robinson-- also of Orange Cove.

An Ag worker discovered Robinson's body in a vineyard near Mountain View and Bethel in Selma on June eighth. An autopsy revealed injuries from several gunshots.

Detectives said the suspect and victim knew each other but they are not releasing a motive for the killing because the investigation is continuing.
