Visalia Police say Good Samaritan deserves thanks after saving neighbor from attacker
At just 21-years-old Eduardo Jarquin is facing Burglary, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery, and Vandalism charges

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- At just 21-years-old Eduardo Jarquin is facing Burglary, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery, and Vandalism charges. It all stems from an incident on a street in Visalia.

"The suspect came to the house to confront the victim about a previous dispute," said Sgt. Gerrit De Jong, Visalia Police.

Police say on Tuesday the suspect kicked down the door of a home on West Howard near Demaree Street. They said he then went inside the man's home and assaulted him.

The fight, police said, turned into a chase when the victim got away and ended in the street when neighbors said a Good Samaritan pulled out a gun.

"It's always good to know you can count on your neighbors," said Jong.

Police said it is because of help from the community they were able to put Jarquin in jail.
