Barber at Fresno Yosemite International Airport celebrates 45 years in business

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Valley barber, whose talents as a stylist are just as impressive as his shop's decor, is celebrating a big milestone.

Nicholas Palomares' shop at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport is now 45-years-old. His walls are lined with pictures of the many famous faces he's encountered in his long career as a barber.

Among some of his favorites are Tommy Chong, Jay Leno, and Michael Jordan.

"Through the years it's the people who are here to pick up celebrities who are giving me the insight on who is coming-- they've helped me a lot," said Palomares.

Palomares is a Lemoore native who spent some time serving with the Navy and said he loves meeting the travelers who end up in Fresno but is also appreciative of the regulars who keep his business going.
