If you use Fresno freeways often we have a traffic alert for you. The High Speed Rail Authority is continuing work on the 40-foot trench beneath Highway 180.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- If you use Fresno freeways often we have a traffic alert for you. The High Speed Rail Authority is continuing work on the 40-foot trench beneath Highway 180.

Starting on Sunday at 5:00 a.m. all eastbound traffic will be shifted south as crews begin building a temporary bridge between Highway 99 and Highway 41.

The westbound traffic will also be shifted.

The High Speed Rail Authority said this is stage two of five.

The latest work is expected to last about four months.
