Excitement pierced through the parking lot at Inspiration Park in Northwest Fresno, where some 200 kids waited anxiously to board buses to head to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

For many of them, like Zachary Winchester, it was their first time going.

"Normally you would have to pay like a lot of money to go, but I'm going for free."

And so did everyone else-- the aquarium along with Google and the Fresno Police Activities League covered the cost. Making it possible for the kids to experience something they will likely never forget.

"Some of the kids were so excited because they've never left Fresno before and getting to go to Monterey Bay Aquarium. They were so excited to get to do that," said Aundree Rodriguez, Boys & Girls Club.

Best Tours and Travel took care of most of the fees for charter buses used. The company said it wanted to do what it could to give back.

"The joy that we see in their faces when they see the ocean, the aquarium, and the fish-- it's just amazing," said Jasmine Sayah, Best Tours & Travel.

About 10 police officers even joined the kids for the fun. Detective Matthew Couto said it is a great opportunity for them to bond with the youth.

"Seeing that kids look up to us and maybe want to do something to better themselves in the community-- that's awesome."

After a couple pictures were taken, the kids took off to grab their seat on the bus where McDonald's breakfast was waiting for them.

After taking off and nearly three hours on the road, they finally made it.
