Fresno firefighter injured while battling house fire

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno firefighter is recovering after being injured while fighting a house fire Sunday morning.

The blaze broke out near Belmont and Beachwood around 5 a.m. The firefighter suffered minor injuries from falling debris as flames burned through and the roof collapsed.

A family of five was inside the home when the fire started, but they all got out safely thanks to a neighbor who knocked on the door just in time.

The fire is now under control and the cause is under investigation.
