Firefighters battle early morning house fire in Atwater

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters in Atwater battled huge flames overnight Sunday.

A house and a nearby structure started burning a little after 1 a.m. Paramedics took one man away from the scene on a stretcher, and his condition is unknown at this time.

The nearby structure burned to the ground, but it looks like firefighters were able to save the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
