CHP Officers save man from canal after high-speed chase in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY (KFSN) -- California Highway Patrol helped save the life of a man who led them on a high-speed chase through Fresno County.

Last week investigators said a man was driving more than 100 miles per hour on Highway 99. Eventually he tried to run away on foot, however, he fell into a canal on Peach Avenue.

Several officers brought the man to safety despite his initial protests.

The suspect was booked into the Fresno County Jail for several felonies.
