Firefighters battle blaze and abandoned apartment complex in Southeast Fresno
Fresno and Clovis firefighters battled a fire at an abandoned apartment complex in Southeast Fresno at Woodrow and Huntington.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno and Clovis firefighters battled a fire at an abandoned apartment complex in Southeast Fresno at Woodrow and Huntington.

Crews said witnesses reported seeing two people running away from the fire who are believed to be transients. Crews went into search and rescue mode but did not find them inside.

Two people have been detained, officials said, and are being questioned.

Firefighters said the fire took 20 minutes to get under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The area around the fire is currently blocked off a crews continue to clean up the fire.
