MADERA COUNTY (KFSN) -- Concerned members of the community in Madera County made sure their voices were heard regarding the possible release of a convicted arsonist.

Kenneth Jackson set fires all over the Yosemite Lakes Park area in Madera County and he may get out of prison 27 years early.

A jury found Jackson guilty of setting 21 fires between May and June of 2013-- damage was estimated at about a million dollars. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison, but because of Prop 57 and the way prosecutors charged the case, he could get out in three.

District Attorney David Linn is especially worried about where Jackson will be allowed to live.

If you could not attend the community meeting and you were directly impacted by the YLP arson fires. You can still submit your statement to the district attorney by sending him an e-mail.
