Authorities in Florida looking for teens who were seen in Snapchat video tazing cat

FLORIDA (KFSN) -- A disturbing video of a cat being tased in Florida has hit social media and investigators are now searching for a pair of teens who could face animal cruelty charges.

The video was originally posted on Snapchat-- the two teens appear to be chasing a cat before tazing it and scaring it off. The post was eventually shared with animal services who later contacted police.

Officers have now begun searching the neighborhood for the teens.

"To see an animal who is harmless and has not done anything to be treated that way, it's just cruel," said Comm. Justin Taylor, Nassau County.

"Who was standing there videoing this-- that's the other question. Who would allow children to do this and think it's funny," said Michele Higham, Neighbor.

The police have received numerous tips from the community, but investigators have yet to identify the suspects.
