FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The search is on for at least two men connected to a recycling center robbery and shooting.

Investigators say it happened at around 7 a.m. Monday morning at the Calwa Recycling Center on Barton and Church avenues in southeast Fresno. Responding officers found an employee of the facility with a gun shot wound to the hip.

Police say two employees were working in a trailer when two men pulled up and demanded their cash box. There was a fight and one the employees was shot.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. The suspects remain on the run.

Police are looking through surveillance video and working with witness statements to identify them. They were last seen in a charcoal gray four door sedan. Police believe there may be a third person involved.
