Police searching for suspect who stabbed two in Southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are looking for a man who may have stabbed two people in a southeast Fresno apartment complex.

Officers say several family members got into some sort of fight with an outsider late Friday night. The suspect pulled a knife and stabbed a couple of them, then left a chaotic scene behind.

"I was told that emotions were high when officers arrived which sometimes makes it a little difficult to secure the scene," Sgt. Jerardo Chamilbide with the Fresno Police Department said.

The two victims are in the hospital this morning, but police say their injuries aren't life-threatening.

They're looking for at least one man who left the apartment complex, but they say it's possible he was defending some of the stabbing victims.
