Good Samaritans help rescue 87-year-old man who crashed into Sanger canal
Police say the 87-year-old was driving on Newmark near North Street when he lost control and veered off the roadway. Good Samaritans quickly jumped into action to help rescue him.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Sanger man is recovering after Good Samaritans helped from his car after crashing into a canal Sunday night.

Police say the 87-year-old was driving north on Newmark near North Street when he lost control and veered off the roadway.

The man was reportedly lost consciousness when Good Samaritans in the area quickly assisted him. Investigators say the man appeared to have suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision but is now recovering.
