FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno State Bulldogs won its football season opener in dominant fashion Saturday night in front of a near sell-out crowd and star alum Derek Carr.
The Bulldogs defeated Incarnate Word with a final score of 66 to 0. Fresno State is hoping for a fresh start this year after finishing last season with just one win and firing former head coach Tim DeRuyter.
Fresno State retired Derek Carr's #4 jersey at halftime in front of a crowd of 39,447.
The team will face college football powerhouse Alabama next week.
