Rico Franco announces run for U.S. House of Representatives

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Clovis native has announced he'll run against Representative Devin Nunes for his congressional seat next year.

Rico Franco met with supporters yesterday at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District. The Democrat is challenging Nunes, the incumbent Republican up for re-election in the 22nd Congressional District.

Franco criticized Nunes saying he would be willing to meet with his constituents.

Franco says his focus in Congress would be on immigration, healthcare, and the environment.
