The third annual Paws for Pints was held at River Park shopping center Saturday.

The Central Animal Disaster team put on the event. Their goal was to receive a minimum of 100 pints of blood to bolster blood supplies for the Central California Blood Center to help patients here locally and in disaster areas in Texas and Florida.

While giving blood, donors also learned how to prepare for a natural disaster, making sure their pets are ready to evacuate as well.
