Fresno vet raising funds to help animals affected by hurricanes
Since August 31, Fresno Pet ER has been donating every emergency fee collected to the ASPCA.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Central Valley Pet ER is helping to care for animals affected by recent hurricanes.

Since August 31, Fresno Pet ER has been donating every emergency fee collected to the ASPCA. The money will go to families and organizations taking care of pets that have been separated from their owners because of the storms.

"Hopefully that will help provide some relief help whether it be volunteers or supplies," Dr. Chris Dobbins with the ER said.

The fundraiser is scheduled to end Monday, but Fresno Pet ER says it will likely extend the date now that Hurricane Irma has made landfall.

So far, they have collected over $3,000.
