Man dies after being struck by semi near Selma

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One man is dead after being hit by a semi in Fresno County Monday night.

The crash happened at Mountain View and Highway 99 near Selma. At this point, CHP officers aren't sure if the man - believed to be in his 50s or 60s - was in the roadway or on the shoulder when he was hit.

They're still looking for witnesses right now and are expected to remain at the scene for a few more hours while they investigate but the roads themselves have reopened.
