FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- With the fate of hundreds of thousands of young immigrants is hanging in the balance as lawmakers, dozens participated in a march to support DACA.

The march began in the Tower District in Central Fresno. Many expressed their viewpoints and personal connection to the program that was rescinded by President Trump.

For Sophia Bautista, the march took a deeper meaning after finding out her friend was impacted by the decision.

"It became more intimate and personal," she said. "This march isn't motivated by anger, it's motivated by love."

As of now, Democratic leaders claim they came to an agreement with President Trump to put protections into place for people known as "Dreamers."

However, Republicans state no such deal exists at this point in time.
