FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno City College hosted their grand opening of their new "Dream Center."

For the last couple years, the college has had a Dream Center except it was in a small office. The center is designed to help undocumented students by providing information, resources, and academic counseling.

Now students have a nice place to go. Students can meet with counselors in private.

The center does not do actual DACA renewals but will point you in the right direction.

"To me, it shows how much support we are getting from the school and from our community around us. It's like taking steps in the right direction in helping the undocumented students here," said Flavio Arechiga, Dreamer.

Students said they have benefited so much from this center, from getting directions on which classes to take and even on the steps they have to take to obtain a drivers license.
