Injured hiker rescued after being stranded on Fresno County trail
According to officials, she was rock climbing along the Pacific Crest Trail near Fish Creek Camp Foot Bridge when she fell and broke her ankle and fractured her leg.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 28-year-old woman stranded on a mountain in Fresno County since Saturday has been rescued.

Authorities say they pulled the young woman out at about 2 a.m. According to officials, she was rock climbing along the Pacific Crest Trail near Fish Creek Camp Foot Bridge when she fell and broke her ankle and fractured her leg.

Deputies say two men in the area found her and used a "spot" device to send an emergency text to first responders. Crews from the Fresno County Sheriff's Office worked with the military for the rescue.

The woman was life-flighted to CRMC. No word yet on her current condition.
