Police searching for 3 men after a high-speed chase from Madera ends in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are still searching for three men who ran away after a pursuit from Madera came to a crashing end in Downtown Fresno.

It started around 11:30 Wednesday night when Madera Police tried to pull over a Lexus sedan. The car took off leading four Madera PD units on a high-speed chase south on Highway 99.

The CHP and Fresno Police helped in the pursuit.

Police said the car crashed near Stanislaus and Highway 99. The three men then ran from the car but were not caught.

It is not known why officers tried to pull the car over or what caused the men to run from officers.
