FRESNO COUNTY (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Search and Rescue Team and the Highway Patrol are getting ready to attempt a recovery operation.

Crews started gathering along Highway 180 and the Kings River to try and remove two bodies believed to be inside the wreckage of a car in the water.

The bodies are presumed to be 31-year-old Yinan Wang of San Diego and his 30-year-old wife, Jie Song-- both are Chinese nationals. It was back on August 11th when a family member reported the two missing.

They were last seen August 6th in Sequoia National Park. The couple has not been heard from since that day.

The car was found by a deputy on August 8th as crews were searching for two missing Thai students in the same area. But due to rapids and high water levels, crews were unable to access this area to examine the wreckage.
