Big Fresno Fair holds first ever Craft Brew Fest

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Beer lovers had quite the treat at the Big Fresno Fair on Saturday. The first ever Craft Brew Fest took place inside the horse racing infield while live horse racing was going on.

More than 30 breweries were set up along with food trucks and several betting stations.

Organizers said the first ever event is unlike anything offered before.

"It is definitely unique; we have never done anything like this at the fair. It hits a whole different demographic, so we're trying to reach out and have something for everyone in the Valley to enjoy," said Taylor Childers with the Big Fresno Fair.

Craft Brew Fest will return for the next three years and organizers said if it grows during that time it will become a permanent event.
