Workout Wednesday: Best Cardio for you
When deciding on the best cardio workout for you, it's important to first look at what works best for your joints.

When deciding on the best cardio workout for you, it's important to first look at what works best for your joints.

If you feel good and don't have any lower-body injuries I would suggest the elliptical. It is one of the more difficult types of cardio exercises. The recumbent bike is great if you have injuries or want a lower impact cardio workout. I have used it to strengthen knees, feet, and hips because it puts less tension on the joints.

The most common form of cardio exercise is walking or running. You can do it just about anywhere and at your own level. The most beneficial part of all of these cardio workouts is they will keep you young and healthy as long as you exercise often and consistently.

I hope you can come join us this Saturday at 8:00 A.M. at Woodward Park to support the Valley Center for the Blind in their first fun run/walk Striding Beyond Sight. We look forward to seeing you there!
