Fire crews battle house fire in Southwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire crews battled a house fire in Southwest Fresno on Normal Avenue in the area of Valentine and McKinley.

The fire started just after six Wednesday morning.

Officials said people were inside when the fire started and that they ran to the neighbor's house to ask for help because they did not have a phone.

Officials are taking a defensive attack and calling in an additional engine for the embers.

It is not known yet what started this blaze.
