Deputies investigating possible homicide in Merced County

The Merced County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible homicide in Dos Palos on Highway 33 near Valeria.

Authorities said around 7 a.m. the Sheriff's Office received a call from a house claiming someone had possibly been killed. When deputies arrived they found the suspect covered in blood and the victim, whose identity has not been released, inside a trailer on the property.

Both the suspect and victim are female.

The suspect was visiting from San Diego and investigators are speaking with the suspect and they do say she was the one who called. They are not releasing any more information at this time.

We talk to a neighbor who said she saw a lot of people coming in and out of the house often.
