Fresno moving company sends donations to help victims of Wine Country Wildfires
Donations for victims of the wine country fires included everything from diapers to toiletries.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Donations for victims of the wine country fires included everything from diapers to toiletries. They were collected during a week long drive but were packed up and ready to be taken to the Bay Area by Meathead Movers.

"The community's been really really good and everybody's really really open about helping out and donating and giving a helping hand where needed," said Operations Manager Justin Pieper.

Masks to protect against the smoky air were among the popular items dropped off.

"This truck right here is about to Richmond, California right now to the Ryse Academy. It's a place that is accepting donations and I believe they are doing shelter work as well," said Pieper.

The Ryse Center is now specifically only asking for gift cards and filtered masks. The Red Cross has been using the Sonoma-Marin fairgrounds to house and assist evacuees. Donations of food and clothing, even toys have been welcome.

"We have continued receiving donations from nearly the time we opened, and they have not stopped, and we're doing our best to serve the community that's here on our site," said Sonoma Marin.

Meathead Movers also collected and will deliver gift cards to the wildfire victims.
