Central Valley residents had the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a firefighter

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Central Valley residents had the opportunity to gear up and experience what a day in the life of a firefighter is like.

The annual event put on by the Fresno Fire Department and Fire Chief's Foundation allows donors and sponsors to step into firefighter uniforms and get engaged with several local fire crews.

The firefighters for a day got to open a car with the jaws of life and go into a burning building and put the fire out themselves.
