FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Chaffee Zoo's three-day fall camp kicked off Monday.

It is an activity to keep animal lovers between the ages of three and 17 busy during the school break.

Each day there is a different theme. Monday, the theme was 'Things with Wings' so the students learned about birds, bats, all the animals that fly.

Programs Manager, Elizabeth Sayles said, "There's a little bit of classroom time but we like to get them out with animals, so they're on tour in the morning, they do craft projects, meet one of program animals and they do get a lesson on bio-facts to get to touch and feel furs and bones and skulls."

The fall camp is pretty much sold out but students interested in the winter session can register now. There's still plenty of room there.

Prices range from 36 to 75 dollars per student depending on their age.
