Boat fire prompts rescue of 50 people in Florida

FLORDIA (KFSN) -- Fire rescue crews jumped into action after a casino shuttle boat went up in flames in Florida.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says that there were 50 passengers on the ship when the fire broke out.

All 50 passengers were rescued from the water and were taken to shore for medical treatment.

Fifteen passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
