Fresno State basketball games canceled due to government shutdown
The Government shutdown will affect Fresno State's Basketball teams today.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The government shutdown canceled both Fresno State basketball games Saturday because the Bulldogs were scheduled to play Air Force which of course is a service academy.

Fresno State was scheduled to take on the Falcons in Mountain West Play. However, word came down early Saturday morning that the games would be canceled until further notice.

Posted on the windows of the Save Mart Center ticket office were notices of the canceled women's game due to the government shutdown.

The men's team were on the road and learned they too would not play a conference game Saturday.

Fresno State head coach Rodney Terry said, "You know things are kind of out of our control in terms of the decision making process in that regard. Dave's team is playing really well, got a lot of respect for Air Force's program. Always have and we feel like we're playing well right now too. Would have loved to have played today as well."
