3 arrested after woman allegedly tries to cash forged check in Pixley

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities have arrested three people on burglary, forgery and conspiracy charges.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says a woman named Spicey Ruiz, 33, tried to cash a forged check at a market on the 500 block of South Park Road in Pixley on Saturday. The clerk called 911, and when deputies arrived they found Steven Henry, 31, and Justin Magana, 31, in a car outside.

Deputies say the men started honking the horn to alert Ruiz. She ran out of the store, and the suspects took off, but they were caught a short time later.
