FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno fire crews spent part of Monday night and early Tuesday morning helping residents deal with a water problem.

It happened around 10:30 Monday night at the Fig Garden Villa Apartments at Fedora and Blackstone. A hot water pipe in the ceiling broke above an apartment on the first floor.

Water was flooding the apartment through a hole approximately two feet in diameter. Crews stopped the flow by shutting off the water at the street.

Hot water in the building is currently off until repairs are made. The building itself is a three-story former hotel.

No one was hurt but the two residents of the affected unit were sent to a hotel while repairs are underway.
