Increase in dog flu prompts temporary closing of Valley dog park
The Valley Animal Center in East Central Fresno is closing its dog park for a week as cases of the dog flu continue to rise in the Central Valley.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Valley Animal Center in East Central Fresno is closing its dog park for a week as cases of the dog flu continue to rise in the Central Valley.

The animal shelter posted the announcement Friday to their social media pages, saying for the safety of their members. They will close the park until February 16th.

They are also requiring that all of their members get their dogs the flu vaccine if they have not already.

Pet owners can visit the Valley Animal Center's clinic on weekdays to get their dog the vaccine for $25.
