FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno business known for grand celebrations used the most romantic day of the year to make a dream come true for one lucky couple.
Bobby and Alexis Alamano tied the knot at the 'The Grand 1401' ballroom in downtown.
The road to the altar was a long one for Bobby and Alexis. They have been engaged for two years and their wedding plans were put on hold six months ago when Bobby suffered a stroke.
During his recovery, Alexis entered a contest put on by The Grand.
The business would give away a wedding ceremony to one deserving couple.
Alexis and Bobby shared their story about raising two small children together as Bobby recovered from the stroke and earned themselves a free wedding.
"Our story was submitted, touched by our story. To give us the wedding of our dreams," said Alexis.
The ceremony included photography, flowers, a cake, a justice of the peace and champagne. All donated by The Grand.
