Fire officials investigate house fire in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters are still trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home Saturday morning in Central Fresno.

The home was abandoned, but a neighbor told firefighters he's seen homeless people squatting in it over the last few weeks.

Investigators are not sure humans started the fire because the home still had gas and power.

An electrical line also caught fire, making it dangerous for firefighters to get in attack mode before PG&E came to turn it off.

No one was hurt in the fire.
